Cable Corporation Ltd (CCL) in Lugazi, Uganda was incorporated in May1968 under full ownership of the Mehta Group Ltd.The Company carried out a major expansion in 1969 and was taken over by the Government of Uganda with directive and nationalized in 1974 through 1980. In 1980, the running of the Company was handed over to the Mehta Group. The Company was later privatized in November 2009 and is now fully owned by the Mehta Group. Cable Corporation Limited - Cable Division was set up with technical collaboration from Sumitomo Electrical Industries, Japan and manufactures low voltage power cables, domestic cables, flexible cables, overhead conductors, earth wires and stay wires. All the products manufactured by CCL are conforming to International standards and Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) and is supervised by very well trained and experienced personnel. It also has a well- equipped laboratory and maintains a high profile for its quality products.
